Real-estate analysts are predicting the Atlanta United FC will finish in the top two in the East.
Real-money market analyst John Varela believes Atlanta United will be the first MLS franchise to win the Eastern Division in the 2020 season.
Varela said in a recent report that Atlanta United has a chance to win a second straight Supporters Shield for the second straight season.
Varella’s prediction is based on a combination of factors, including the Atlanta-based club’s strong results in the 2017 season and the team’s continued growth in attendance and revenue.
Atlanta United has enjoyed a successful start to the 2017-18 campaign, earning the Supporters Shield, but has struggled to keep pace with the likes of New York City FC and DC United.
Atlanta United finished the regular season with a record of 9-6-4, and will face off against the reigning MLS Cup champion Portland Timbers in the second leg of the Western Conference Semifinals on Saturday, May 6.
The Atlanta United team will also face off with the Chicago Fire on Saturday in the first leg of their third-round playoff series.
